SPC2008 keynote announcements

Bill Gate's keynote has just completed. I'll be posting a full write-up later today. For now, here are a couple of announcements:

Microsoft Search Server 2008 is now available.

Introducing Microsoft Online - hosted SharePoint and Exchange, integrating with the enterprise versions. More details to follow on this one, but here is a quote from John Betz during the demo:

"the promise of enterprise class software being delivered as subscription services"

[Update: 1 hour later] Additional announcement - Sliverlight Blueprint for SharePoint. Prescriptive guidance and code samples to integrate Silverlight and create rich web-based user interfaces that leverage and enhance SharePoint functionality.
